Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu

Eleven hikers, sixteen porters, one chef, two guides, and one stray dog embarked on a transformative journey from Cusco, Peru, united by a shared aspiration – to conquer the revered Inca Trail and behold the breathtaking ruins of Machu Picchu. This incredible odyssey was an testament to the human spirit, marked by moments of triumph and adversity, and a staggering number of steps that pushed even the most seasoned hikers to their limits over four days. Accompanied by the esteemed Cusco-based tour company, AB Expeditions, we navigated the intricate trail, gaining a profound appreciation for the necessity of guided services in overcoming the complexities of the route, including rains and camping challenges. Our phenomenal hiking expedition was an unforgettable experience, and here are some of the most captivating moments from our epic four-day trek through the Peruvian wilderness.
We had a wonderful time hiking the Inca Trail in Peru. Machu Pichu was an amazing ending to a 4 day adventure that climbed mountains, went thru rainforests, and dived deep into the Inca Culture. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone who enjoys hiking adventures , exploring ruins, and disconnecting from the outside world for a few days in the wilderness.
