Hello. My name is Bryce Lafoon and I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about Light Shifter Studios.

I believe good chemistry with my clients is important in achieving the best work possible. I think one of the best ways to establish good chemistry is to get to know a little about each other. That said, let me tell you a little more about myself. I grew up in Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech. While in college, I worked for Disney, studied abroad in Australia, and worked a summer in London.

Traveling really opened my eyes to the world and I have been enjoying it ever since. I started as a travel photographer but now I have transformed myself into a portrait and wedding photographer telling stories and capturing the love of others.

I love music and seeing music evolve thru time. As a creative, I enjoy performances that involve visual stimulation. For 7 years, I traveled to Iceland to photograph an awesome music festival called Iceland Airwaves.  Iceland is my favorite place to travel to.  I am always looking  for new locations in this photographer paradise. 

I love experiencing new cultures and cuisines. At the moment, my favorite food is Japanese. Awhile back, I went to Tokyo for a few days. I loved how Japan is a spaceship into the future.

I married my wonderful wife, Leigh, in 2011. We have two  amazing boys named Kit and Dane. We lived at the beach in North Carolina for several years and then moved to the mountains of Asheville, NC in 2017. We all love to hike, camp, and surround ourselves with the outdoors. If I’m not taking photos or traveling, you can find me researching our next family adventure.

I love weddings, I love people, I think everyone is important and deserves to have their story told.
